MTN Nigeria is Nigeria’s leading telecommunications company, connecting millions of Nigerians through mobile communication, internet services, and digital solutions. In 2026, MTN celebrated 25 years of operations, marking a journey that began in 2001 and has since become part of Nigeria’s telecommunications history.

Oxgital collaborated with MTN on a heritage-focused media production project for its 25th anniversary. The project involved photographing historical products and branded items, including legacy communication devices, routers, and other artefacts that represented different stages of the company’s evolution.

The Challenge

Celebrating 25 years required more than showcasing MTN’s present-day achievements. MTN needed visual content that could bring its history to life and connect past innovations with its current identity.

The challenge was to capture ageing products and historical artefacts in a way that preserved their character, highlighted their significance, and presented them as meaningful parts of MTN’s brand story.
