Sleepwear

She didn’t come to us with a business problem. She came with a feeling she couldn’t quite put into words yet.

When Ms. Funmilayo, Founder and Creative Director of Àlàyò, first reached out to Oxgital, what she asked for seemed simple: a website, a visual identity, and a way to start selling online. But the more we talked, the more we realised something: this wasn’t really about a website at all.

This was about a woman who had spent years watching Nigerian women settle for sleepwear that didn’t truly serve them. Pieces that weren’t designed for the heat. Fabrics that didn’t breathe. Styles that chose aesthetics over actual comfort. She had seen the gap, lived the frustration, and decided to do something about it.

Àlàyò was her answer. And “Comfort Redefined” wasn’t a tagline she came up with for marketing purposes. It was the reason the brand existed in the first place.

She Came for a Website. We Saw a Brand That Needed to Be Defined

The first conversation with Ms. Funmilayo wasn’t about colours or layouts. It was about what she wanted people to feel.

At Oxgital, we don’t open with design. We open with questions. And with Àlàyò, the questions mattered more than usual.

What does comfort actually mean for your customer? What should someone feel the moment they land on your website? Who is she designing for? What makes Àlàyò different from every other Nigerian sleepwear brand?

Ms. Funmilayo had clear answers. She talked about slow mornings, soft fabrics, the kind of rest that starts before you close your eyes. She talked about Nigerian women who deserved loungewear and sleepwear designed with their climate, their lives, and their sense of ease in mind, not just adapted from Western trends.

That conversation changed everything about how we approached the project.

What she needed wasn’t just a website. She needed a brand, one that could communicate all of that feeling to a stranger who had never heard of Àlàyò.

The Real Problem Wasn’t Visibility. It Was Consistency.

By the time Àlàyò came to Oxgital, the brand already had something rare: genuine intention. The product was thoughtful, and the philosophy was clear. Customers who found the brand weren’t indifferent; they came back, referred friends, and remembered how the experience felt.

But something was quietly working against all of that.

Across different platforms, Àlàyò wasn’t telling one story. It was telling several slightly different ones. A potential customer who discovered the brand on Instagram would arrive at a website that didn’t quite match the feeling.

Alayo Social media page

The social content was active, but not structured around a single emotional thread. The brand had real warmth, but it just wasn’t being communicated in a way that could travel and scale.

The question we kept coming back to was this: how do you make someone feel the comfort of Àlàyò before they ever touch the fabric?

That became the foundation of everything we built.

Starting With Identity, Not Ads

Before we touched a single ad campaign or wrote a product description, we went back to the beginning.

We refined Àlàyò’s brand foundation, not to reinvent it, but to make it clearer, more consistent, and easier for people to connect with.

Colours, typography, imagery style, and tone of voice were all carefully aligned around one filter: Does this feel like rest?

If the answer was no, it didn’t make it through.

We wanted visitors to stay and explore slowly

With the brand foundation locked in, we designed Àlàyò’s digital home.

The brief we gave ourselves wasn’t “build an e-commerce website for a Nigerian sleepwear brand.” It was simpler and harder than that: build a space that feels as comfortable as the products inside it.

We wanted visitors to want to stay and to explore slowly. We wanted them to feel, even before they read a word, that this was a brand that understood them.

We designed clean and mobile-first layouts that felt calm and easy to navigate. Product pages focused on storytelling rather than just specifications.

At the same time, SEO was integrated naturally, allowing Àlàyò to attract people searching for sleepwear and loungewear in Nigeria without relying entirely on paid ads.

Social Media Wasn’t the Goal. Familiarity Was

Our focus on social wasn’t volume; it was continuity. Every piece of content was shaped around the same softness and ease that the brand stood for. Visual consistency, calm pacing, storytelling that felt human rather than promotional.

The goal was familiarity. Whenever Àlàyò appeared on someone’s feed, the brand should feel instantly recognisable and emotionally consistent.

We weren’t just filling a content calendar. We were building a feeling, one post at a time, that made people want to come back before they’d even bought anything yet.

The Ads: Spending Less, Earning More

Once the brand, website, and social media were working as one unified experience, the paid advertising could actually do its job.

We ran Meta ad campaigns for Àlàyò with one clear intention: not to shout the loudest, but to reach the right people with a message that already felt familiar.

That approach showed in the numbers.

What Changed in Three Months

Results in digital marketing rarely arrive all at once; they build. And with Àlàyò, that’s exactly what happened.

Three months in, the brand had a clearer identity and a stronger and more consistent presence. Customers were engaging more deeply with content. Product pages were converting better. The right audience who genuinely aligned with Àlàyò’s lifestyle and values were finding the brand more easily.

By seven months, the numbers told a story that was hard to argue with.

The results across 7 months

500% Return on Ad Spend

Every ₦1,000 spent on ads returned ₦5,000 in revenue. The campaigns were converting consistently and profitably.

32% More Sales

Out of every 100 people who visited the website, 32 more completed a purchase compared to before. More revenue from the same traffic.

30% More Organic Traffic

More people found Àlàyò on Google without a single naira spent on ads. Organic visibility that continued growing without additional ad spend.

31% Social-Assisted Sales

Nearly 1 in 3 purchases were influenced by Instagram or TikTok, even when social wasn’t the final step before checkout.

2.1 Million+ Impressions

Real people reached across paid and organic channels, not inflated reach numbers, but genuine brand exposure.

3.8% Click-Through Rate

Against a 1.5% industry average. More than twice the norm, because when the message resonates, people actually click.

But the number that mattered most wasn’t in any dashboard. It was the one that started everything: customers kept coming back. That hadn’t changed; it had just become more consistent, more scalable, and supported by a brand experience strong enough to sustain it.

Why It Worked

Àlàyò came to Oxgital with a clear emotional vision. Oxgital came back with the structure, strategy, and digital experience to help people instantly understand and connect with that vision online.

There was no single viral moment, and no shortcut. Just a brand that got clearer, a website that got warmer, content that got more consistent, and ads that reached people who were already ready to believe.

That’s what happens when branding, content, website experience, and marketing all work together.

And for Àlàyò, this is still only the beginning.

Your Brand Has a Feeling Too. Let’s Help People Find It.

Some brands don’t struggle because their products are bad. They struggle because the feeling behind the brand isn’t being communicated clearly online.

That’s where strategy, storytelling, branding, and digital experience come together.

For Àlàyò, it meant building a fashion brand people could emotionally connect with before they ever made a purchase.

And if your brand is trying to do the same, Oxgital can help you build the clarity, structure, and digital presence to make that happen.

Branding, Website design and development, Social media marketing, SEO, and Paid advertising. All of it working together, the way it worked for Àlàyò.

“Working with Oxgital felt like finally having a team that understood not just what we sell, but why we exist. The difference it made was visible and measurable.” — Ms. Funmilayo, Founder, Alayo
