How Oxgital Built a Professional Law Firm Website for Laide Gbadamosi & Co.
There are law firms that simply exist online. And then there are law firms that command respect the moment you land on their website.
Laide Gbadamosi & Co. had already spent over two decades building one of Nigeria’s most distinguished legal practices. Founded in 1999, with a Principal Counsel who holds the rare and prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, the firm had a legacy that most practices spend a lifetime trying to earn.
They had the courtroom victories. They had the high-profile cases in oil and gas litigation. They had the trust of clients across commercial law, criminal defence, property law, and arbitration.
What the firm lacked was a digital presence that properly reflected its reputation, experience, and national standing.
When they came to Oxgital, the conversation started in the same place it always does, not with design, not with technology, but with a question: What does this firm need people to feel when they encounter it online for the first time?
This project focused on building a professional law firm website in Nigeria that reflects authority, trust, and legal expertise.
Law Firm Website Design Challenges in Nigeria
Many law firm websites in Nigeria struggle with outdated design, poor structure, and content that fails to build trust with potential clients.
And they fall into one of two traps.
The first is the ghost website; it exists, technically, but it hasn’t been touched since it was built.
The second is the generic website, built from a template, filled with stock imagery of gavels and scales, and indistinguishable from every other law firm in the country. It has pages, but no personality. It lists services, but communicates no depth.
Laide Gbadamosi & Co. needed neither. What the firm needed was a website worthy of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, one that communicated authority without arrogance, depth without complexity, and approachability without sacrificing professionalism.
That’s a difficult balance to strike. And it’s exactly the kind of challenge we take seriously at Oxgital.
Understanding the Firm Before Touching a Single Design
Before any wireframe was drawn or any content written, we spent time understanding what Laide Gbadamosi & Co. truly represented.
This is a firm led by Prof. Olaide Gbadamosi SAN, a legal professional with an LL.B, LL.M, and PhD, called to the Nigerian Bar in 1999, and recognised by the highest professional body in Nigerian legal practice with the SAN conferment in 2022.
The firm’s expertise spans commercial law, criminal law, property law, oil and gas litigation, arbitration, and general legal consultancy, with offices not just in Lagos but in Benin City, Ibadan, and Osogbo.
This made it clear that the website needed to serve clients across multiple regions while maintaining a unified national identity.
Building a Professional Law Firm Website for Laide Gbadamosi & Co.
The design philosophy for Laide Gbadamosi & Co.’s website was deliberate from the start. In legal practice, restraint is a form of authority. Excess signals inexperience. A well-crafted legal website doesn’t try to impress; it simply demonstrates competence and lets the work speak.
We built the website from the ground up with three principles guiding every decision.
Clarity above all
Legal services can be intimidating to non-lawyers. A client dealing with a criminal charge, a land dispute, or a commercial contract gone wrong is often already overwhelmed.
The website needed to make it immediately clear what the firm does, who it serves, and how to take the first step toward legal help, without unnecessary complexity or confusion.
Authority through structure
The architecture of the site was designed to guide visitors in a specific direction: from arrival, to understanding the firm’s capabilities, to meeting the team, to taking action.
The navigation, practice area pages, attorney profiles, and consultation pathways were all designed to make information easier to access and understand.
Trust through consistency
From the moment a visitor lands on the homepage to the moment they submit a consultation request, the experience needs to feel cohesive and reliable.
We ensured that every page, every paragraph, and every visual element told the same story: this is a firm that has been doing this for over 25 years, and it shows.
What We Delivered

- Simplified the consultation pathway to make it easier for potential clients to reach the firm without confusion or unnecessary steps.
Legal Website Content Strategy for Law Firms
One of the most important decisions in building a law firm’s digital presence is how to write about what they do.
Write too technically, and you lose the potential client who doesn’t understand legal terminology. Write too simply, and you risk signalling a lack of depth to the sophisticated clients, businesses, corporations, and oil and gas companies who need to know they’re engaging a firm capable of handling complex matters.
Writing for Real Client Concerns
We found the balance by writing for the client’s situation, not the firm’s credentials.
They need to feel, within the first few sentences, that this firm has dealt with situations exactly like theirs.
SEO was integrated into this content naturally. Keywords like law firm in Nigeria, commercial lawyer Lagos, property law Nigeria, oil and gas litigation, arbitration Nigeria, criminal lawyer Benin City, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, these are the terms that the firm’s ideal clients are searching for.
The Principle Behind the Work
There is a reason legal professionals spend years building a reputation before they build anything else. In law, trust is not something you advertise. It is something you demonstrate, case by case, interaction by interaction, year by year.
That is what Oxgital built: a digital presence worthy of a 25-year legacy. One that upholds the firm’s standard of practice in every pixel, every paragraph, and every interaction.
Does Your Firm Have the Digital Presence Its Reputation Deserves?
If you lead a legal practice or any professional services firm that has built its name through years of serious, credible work, your website should reflect that. It should communicate authority, clarity, and trust before a potential client ever dials your number.
Oxgital helps law firms and professional service businesses build credible digital presences through strategic website design, branding, and content.
